Last night I attended an incredible networking event organized by two very well-connected Bronx bloggers. The event was hosted by a new local business in the Melrose section of the Bronx. Bloggers, media professionals, government and non-profit representatives came together with local entrepreneurs to share their love and pride for the borough of the Bronx.<\/p>\n<p>Clarisel and Ed, owners of the blogs <a title=\"Bronx Latino\" href=\"http:\/\/bronxlatino.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bronx Latino<\/a> and <a title=\"Welcome to Melrose\" href=\"http:\/\/welcome-to-melrose.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Welcome to Melrose<\/a>, organized the first ever <strong>Bronx Blogger Fiesta<\/strong>. The host of the networking event was Darada David, owner of <a title=\"PeaceLove Cafe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.peacelovecafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">PeaceLove Caf\u00e9<\/a>, an Internet health food music caf\u00e9 on Melrose Avenue. Attendees enjoyed PeaceLove\u2019s organic strawberry smoothies, luscious pound cake, and deep chocolate chip cookies. Music for the evening was provided by <a title=\"The Scheme Band\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/theschemebandny\" target=\"_blank\">The Scheme<\/a>, a talented rock\/soul fusion band with an eclectic sound that grooved the crowd. The red and white wine was also flowing very nicely.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook phenomena <a title=\"Being Latino\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Being.Latino\" target=\"_blank\">Being Latino<\/a> and <a title=\"from The Bronx\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fromTheBronx\" target=\"_blank\">from The Bronx<\/a> mixed with <a title=\"BlkGrl Blog\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blkgrl.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">BlkGrl Blog<\/a>, <a title=\"Bronx Media\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bronxmedia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">BronxMedia<\/a>, <a title=\"BronxTalk\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bronxnet.org\/c_program\/bronxtalk\/bronxtalk_wi.htm\" target=\"_blank\">BronxTalk<\/a>, <a title=\"MainlandMedia\" href=\"http:\/\/mainlandmedia.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">MainlandMedia<\/a>, and follow local business owners <a title=\"Coqui Mexicano\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/coquimexicano\" target=\"_blank\">Coqui Mexicano<\/a>, <a title=\"Isagenix\" href=\"http:\/\/betterhealthandlife.isagenix.com\/us\/en\/company_associate.dhtml\" target=\"_blank\">Isagenix<\/a>, and <a title=\"SugaBear Pet Care\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/SugaBear-Pet-Care\/137098692988964\" target=\"_blank\">SugaBear Pet Care<\/a>. Representatives from the <a title=\"Hunts Point Econ. Dev. Corp.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hpwbrc.org\" target=\"_blank\">Hunts Point Economic Development Corp.<\/a>, the <a title=\"NYS Consumer Protection Board\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nysconsumer.gov\" target=\"_blank\">New York State Consumer Protection Board<\/a>, and the <a title=\"Bronx Community Pride Center\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bronxpride.org\" target=\"_blank\">Bronx Community Pride Center<\/a> were also in the house. It\u2019s safe to say all had a good time.<\/p>\n<p>The successful event is sure to lead to other networking parties in the Bronx. I had an awesome time and look forward to the next one.
