Thank you for visiting my blog.

My name is Phillip Luis Velez. I am a native New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent (Nuyorican.)

I was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx. I went to Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers in lower Manhattan. I received a bachelor’s degree in communication media from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a master’s in corporate communication from Baruch College of The City University of New York.

I am an active alumni member and historian of a prestigious regional and multicultural fraternity in New York State. I am presently employed with the health services division of an ivy league university.

Hello. I have finally decided to create a personal blog. I’m relatively a shy person, but feel it’s time to share, with those who care to know, what makes me tick. I think I have an interesting life story and look at the world in a positive light. Along my creative writing journey, please feel free to contact me if you come across something you can relate to, or if you simply want to share a thought or comment. I believe everyone should write their life story. We are much more similar than we know and can learn a great deal from each other. I am sure I will learn a lot about myself along way.
