Latinos in Social Media

As the Latino population continues to grow, so does its online presence. A recent study shows that half of US Hispanics/Latinos have an online social media profile. Other studies show the impact Latinos are having in social media and our influence is being noticed by corporate America.

A group of Latino leaders in social media have created a movement online to get more Latinos connected with each other. Latinos in Social Media (LatISM) believes the best way to reach Latinos is through Latinos. LatISM has scheduled conferences in New York, Texas, and Florida during Hispanic Heritage Month. The conferences will bring bloggers, Twitters, Facebook, MySpace, Hi5, LinkedIn leaders and many more together to learn about the latest social media trends.

Conference organizers and some leaders of this movement include Nancy Arroyo-Perez, Louis Pagan, and George Torres.

If you’re Latino get connected and join the movement, if you’ve not done so already.
